The General Manager's Newsletter for April 25, 2008

Westbrook Village and the Desert Dancers present:  Gotta Dance 2008, Sunday, April 27, 2008, 2 pm at the Vistas Auditorium.  Tickets are on sale now.

In the upcoming weeks look for signs of change by the landscape crew.  Starting next week DLC will be changing out the flower beds at the entrance, the Lakes and the Vistas Recreations Center.  There might be some interference and crew’s moving around, but only for a short period of time

Also in the next few weeks the grass areas will be changing from the Winter Rye to the Summer Bermuda.  Some areas will look dry and strained for a while until the Bermuda grows back in.

The last week of May, first week of June the Vistas Ballroom will be closed for the new carpet and dividers to be installed.  A big thank you to the groups who have canceled or moved to another location during this time.

 The Written Consents are in the mail for the April 30^th deadline.  Please be sure to drop off your form to either Recreation Center or the Administration office.  Any questions please let me know and I will forward to the appropriate person. If you know you have already submitted your consent form, please see this has an update on the progress.

The next Board Meeting will be held May 14, 2008 at the FALC.  Don’t forget the time change, the meeting starts at 8:00 am.

The Westbrook Chorale and Upbeats will be hosting their Spring Concert on April 18^th, at 7:00 p.m.  Prices are $7.00 general admission and $6.00 for Cactus Club members.

 NEW HOMEOWNER GATHERING

April 24, 2008 at the Vistas, 2:30 pm at the Vistas.  Come introduce yourself to some new residents, find out about the club, classes and groups you can join, information from the Golf Course and the Posse. You should receive an invite, please be sure to let us know you are attending.

Reminders

If painting your home, stop by the Administration office for the new paint palate and applications.  Please get applications in for any modifications prior to starting the project.

In the mail  you should have received an update on the Written Consent to increase the Annual Assessment in 2009.

 The letter refers to a chart on the back of page 1.  The printer has informed us there was a bad print plate and the chart was omitted.  At the printer’s cost a letter explaining the error and the chart will be mailed in the next day or two.

 I have attached the chart for your review, you can find copies at the Recreation Centers or it will be posted on the website shortly.

I am asking for your help in remembering the multi-purpose lanes on Westbrook Village Parkway and Country Club Parkway, (according to the City of Peoria) are to be utilized by bicycles, for members walking and jogging and golf carts.  Please be safe and share these lanes with everyone.
